Phase 1: Getting Started
"Opening Your Product with your Web Editor Software"

Step #2: Opening the Website Template with Dreamweaver.

1. Select the "Site" menu
2. Select the "New Site" option
3. Fill in the information as required.
   
   
   1. Fill in the "Site Name". Example: Jimmy's Website
      
      
   2. Fill in the "Local Root Folder".
      • This is where your "website" folder is located.
        IMPORTANT NOTE: If your package unzipped with a folder structure such as the image to the right, be sure to browse and select the folder called "website".
        
      • It should be located where you installed the template to on your computer back in "Chapter 1".
      • This is the same folder that has your "index.htm" page within it.
      • Example: C:\Documents And Settings\Owner\Desktop\Synergy Web A\Synergy Web A\website\
      
      
   3. Fill in the "Default Images Folder".
      • This is the same as your "Local Root Folder" PLUS "\images\"
      • Example: C:\Documents And Settings\Owner\Desktop\Synergy Web A\Synergy Web A\website\images\
      
      
   4. If you know your "Remote Info" you can specify this now
      
      
   5. Click the "Okay" button
