"Transferring" your website to your web server using Dreamweaver
With your website open in Dreamweaver:
If you have not yet specified your remote website login information...
From the "Site" menu, select "Edit Sites"
Select the site you are currently working on and click the "Edit" button
Select "Remote Info" from the list
Make sure "FTP" is selected
Specify your FTP host (this is likely your web address without the www -- example: yourweb.com) *
Specify your "Host Directory" *
Specify your "Login" *
Specify your "Password" *
Click "Okay"
Click "Done"
* You will have received this information from your web hosting company. If you do not have it, contact them.
Once you have specified your remote website login information...
In the "Files" panel, select the top folder in the list which should start with the word "Site"
Click the blue "Up" arrow just above the top folder in the toolbar (this is the "Put") button
When asked if you want to "PUT" your entire site, click "Okay"
If asked if you wish to publish all "Dependant" files, click "No" (this is a redundant operation when you are publishing the entire site and can drastically increase the time it takes to publish your site up)
